Hi,
I think there may have been a misunderstanding. You indicated
that you feel that you had to post your note in the flames section
on the forums, so I wonder if some things I wrote to Laurel has
made you believe that? If so, that was not my intention.
We generally try to moderate in-game boards as little as
possible, and you are of course free to complain about or
criticize other guilds, players, and wizards here on the Sparkle,
board. Or any other board. The only reason to moderate stuff here
would be if a post is in violation of Genesis rules. We did remove
one post fairly recently, but that was because the AoP did feel it
was in violation of Genesis rules. That is very rare, though.
Clearly we haven't felt Laurel's admin-sucks posts were against
Genesis rules, and the one you posted in the flames section clearly
isn't either.
I, personally, chose to reply to Laurel (forgetting she wasn't
on the forums anymore) in the flames section because I felt it
allowed me (as the Keeper of Genesis) to speak more freely than
I would have felt comfortable doing here. I also suggested moving
the discussion there since it's easier to have longer discussions
on the forums, and putting it in the flames section also gives other
players a choice if they want to participate or not. A mud-throwing
contest between me and Laurel simply felt like a better fit for the
flames section. That's my personal opinion, though, and why I tried
to steer that discussion to the flames section on the forums. I also
spoke to Laurel today, and suggested that she re-register on the
forums, since I felt that the flames section was a better place for
our discussion. That was a suggestion, though. Not some sort of rule
or order.
I mean, what you posted was almost too nice for the flames section
on the forums to be honest :)
Anyway, you can throw sh, uh, mud, at each other or us wizards here
in Sparkle if you really want to. Howewer, when it's mud thrown at
me, and I want to throw mud back at someone, I prefer to reply in
the flames section, though, since I feel more comfortable throwing
mud in there.
