Re: PC Gamer
When he contacted us I thought he would make a longer more in-depth article. A little surprised this is what came out of it, but hey, exposure is exposure. And plenty of comments on the article already.
Re: PC Gamer
Perfect example of someone that doesn't read the signs.
Re: PC Gamer
The article has caused quite the spike in new players. Try not to scare them away!:)
Re: PC Gamer
It is nice to get fresh perspective... does highlight we need to have a look at some of the commands and how they work. I think a lot of us are just used to the experience, but in making some of the basic commands 'smarter' we could retain more new players.

I was new not too long ago. I remember playing for the first time and being amazed with how intuitive all the commands were.Arman wrote:It is nice to get fresh perspective... does highlight we need to have a look at some of the commands and how they work. "I want to get this foot from the corpse. I wonder if the santax is 'get foot from corpse.'"
Re: PC Gamer
I'm wondering, can multiple words be make to mean the same thing and be parsed equally fast without issues? For example make get, retrieve, pick (pick up too? that one is weirder I know), et cetera. Depending on how it's implemented it could work well but idk.
Also, maybe there are prompts that can be added here and there like "You try to wear the longsword but realize you are being absurd. You've heard of people that wield them though!"

Re: PC Gamer
103 players online when I went to bed :S Its like a flashback to -00 or something, can we even accomodate that with the for some reason required quests without everyone having to wait for hours to have em reset?
