You study the narwhal hornblade carefully.
This long dagger is carved from the horn of a narwhal, and is inscribed with inky black runes. Along its exceptionally long grip you notice a bony nub.
...
The knife can be wielded in any hand. It can be used to cut.
So the blade can cut/slash, but it does not pierce/stab.
Here's a picture of a narwhal's horn:
Think about it for a minute. Take as long as you like.

Is it even a knife?
Looks like a spear

It should stab/pierce and not cut/slash.
Re: Are you sure about this?
In all fairness it does say it's carved. So could be a carver with a stabby-phobia (Yes. that is the medical term)
Re: Are you sure about this?
Hah!
That is funny. I thought it stabbed, and I created it! Happy to run with Bud's take on it though.

Re: Are you sure about this?
I don't have a problem leaving it as is. Afterall it is a horn "blade", which by definition is the flat _cutting_ edge of a knife.
That a blade is carved from a stabby narwhal horn is the irony. What was the carver thinking? I should make a quest about the story of the non-stabby stabber.

Actually I'll make it stabby and slashy.Arman wrote: ↑01 Sep 2021 10:56I don't have a problem leaving it as is. Afterall it is a horn "blade", which by definition is the flat _cutting_ edge of a knife.

Although the quest would be a hoot.
