Here follow the results of the Tree event.

All trees have been taken to the Mvsevm for display in the expanded Mvsevm
garden. After the construction work, you are all invited to admire the trees
in their new surroundings. Pompo is most satisfied with the care that most
trees received, including hugs and tree-talk. He is disappointed with the 7
guilds that did not manage to keep his poor plants alive.

The three guilds winning the tree event are the same guilds as five years ago,
but in a different order. Also, the trio managed to beat the wizards dispite
the Jr horticulturist hired by the wizards to take care of the plant for them.
Well done!

1. Neidar (first colossal tree)
2. Rangers (second colossal tree)
3. Dragon Order (third colossal tree)

These three winning guilds will get a magical twin of their tree placed
where the original tree was situated. A limited number of extractable fruit
per interval between Armageddi will be available for guild members. These
fruits have some magical power.

Based on size the entire list is as follows:

1 neidar: incredibly flourishing colossal fruit-bearing kumquat tree
2 rangers: incredibly flourishing giant abundantly cone bearing silver fir
3 dragonorder: incredibly flourishing giant fruit-bearing grand oak tree
4 wizard: incredibly flourishing giant fruit-bearing dweomeric phase tree
5 morgulmage: incredibly flourishing giant fruit-bearing elf-strangler tree
6 militia: incredibly flourishing giant fruit-bearing lebethron tree
7 union: incredibly flourishing giant fruit-forming weeping willow tree
8 cadets: incredibly flourishing giant fruit-forming pineapple tree
9 scop: incredibly flourishing tall bud-forming oriental plane tree
10 knights: incredibly flourishing tall bud-forming golden vallenwood tree

12 calians: incredibly flourishing knee-high flowerless real baobab
13 gladiators: incredibly flourishing knee-high flowerless green grape tree
14 mercenaries: vigorous small flowerless ironwood tree

1 vampires: dead small flowerless night-blue orchid
2 bda: dead miniature sporeless azure cave fungi
3 kender: dead sapling-sized flowerless red apple tree
4 archers: dead sapling-sized flowerless yew tree

Various persons were very active in the care of their own guild's tree. Some
also took care of trees of befriended guilds as well as trees of guilds they
would rather not see with a flourishing tree. We recognise below the top 10
of persons caring for their own guild's tree with the amounts of dung (kg)
and fluids (liter) they used.

Name Fertilize Fluids
==============================
Xar 21.625 72.165
Rhynox 11.180 43.030
Trutblemma 9.525 23.280
Ilrahil 9.950 25.335
Aldinach 6.985 19.600
Abyss 7.850 15.315
Tharizdun 5.665 14.265
Earth 4.175 16.910
Diri 4.075 15.600
Akthar 3.825 14.845

In total 118 kg of fertilizer (aka dung) was used on the own guild by 54
persons and no less than 176 kg on other guilds by only 13 individuals. It
should be noted that only two persons were good for 142 kg of dung dumped
on other guilds' plants.

On the fluids side of tree care 89 persons applied 423 liters of fluilds to
their guilds's plants. So various persons apparently wanted to help without
getting their hands dirty ... To "help" other guilds, 642 liters of fluids
were used. One particular individual dumped 476 liters of fluids onto other
guilds' plants, which is more than those guilds collectively used on their
own plants. The other 166 liters were distributed by 33 people to either
help or drown foreign plants.

A total of 1553 worms were found, nearly one third by Mudrun at 506 worms.
Other worm hunters include Rhynox (156), Abyss (134), Trutblemma (129) and
Xar (128). Of those worms 1311 found their way into the pots to loosen the
soil. What happend to the other worms shall remain between the worm and the
captor.

Various plants did not survive from the start of the event. The mercenaries
had to start 5 times after their plant died. Angmar, Archers, Vampires,
Priests and Blue Dragonarmy had two dead plants, and the plants of Army of
Darkness, Calians, Gladiators, Kender, Knights, Red Dragonarmy, and Spirit
Cycle died once each.

Many deaths could have been avoided by having Pompo replace the soil of the
plant. In total, 140 soil replacements had been requested.

Nominated for Herbal Heroism:
Abyss: For getting the Cadets organized to care for the tree and his
personal efforts that made the Cadets serious contestants.
Xar: For taking care of two trees.
Herenya: For naming the ranger tree Pemor, Joyful Heart.
These people will get a necklace with yet to be discovered magical powers.

Primary Caretakers:
Abyss, Trutblemma, Xar, Rhynox and Ilrahil were the primary caretakers of
their respective guilds. In general this means they did more than half of
the work that needed to be done on their tree. All five may all claim the
following title for the period of one year: Master Horticulturist of the
.

Tree Whisperers:
Trutblemma, Earth and Armitace will receive, for one year, the title Tree
Whisperer for most outstanding motivational talks with the tree.

Tree Huggers:
The Dragon Order is by far the most tree hugging guild in the realms. The
Neidar are distant second. Where does that leave the tree-hugging rangers?
The title Tree Hugger of the Realms goes to Joyce, for giving most hugs to
trees, and to Rhynox, for hugging most different trees (8). I am relieved
to say that no one hugged the Morgul tree.

All above and all others involved in this event may claim a reward (depending
on their involvement) in the Office of the Arch of Events in the Abbys of the
Sparkle Tower.
