Re: Perma-saving items

Arman: I don't think there was any kind of threat. I am pretty sure Amberlee just meant it will be bad for people who have invested a lot in imbued items if the items were to just disappear (with the imbues) without warning. You are correct sir. Why would I threaten anyone? Argued and disagreed fie...

Re: Perma-saving items

Btw... I hope the items won't go "poof" if you decide they have a set amount of functional hours. It would be nice to be able to harvest imbuement stones from items, and not having them also vanish in thin air. They won't go poof, they will break so imbues can be harvested. Well I fucking hope you ...

Re: Perma-saving items

We are going to make sure the changes work on the test server, and if all goes well we'll announce on the common board the upcoming changes and begin the clock on decay from 1 January 2020. With this. Will we see a comeback of the Ironstones? Would be a nice and very good thing tbh since it no long...

Re: Perma-saving items

Word of advice. Don't time stamp at all. Not needed with the decay. Just punishes casuals who wish to invest in heavy imbues. We did discuss this a lot, and the problem is that if only combat makes things decay, we'll eventually end up with huge piles of EQ that is beneficial out of combat, since t...

Re: Perma-saving items

Personally I think the old system was an imperfect but still the best solution, and any system that has come after even the one that will be the successor of this one will be worse than it. The answer is quite simple. Revert to old one over the course of 1 arma with a fair warning to all. If you wan...

Re: Weaponmasters, again.

(...) What's lacking is a generic DPS melee layman that doesn't depend on a particular weapon type. (...) There is such a guild - Minotaurs. Pure dps, and doesn't depend on weapon. In fact it is Zhar's layman version of Gladiators. I don't think lay Glads would have bigger dps. Another melee lay ar...

Re: Weaponmasters, again.

You already have a completely neutral generic defensive layman. It's the pirates. And you also have one for goodies.. Militia. And for evils.. Templars. What's lacking is a generic DPS melee layman that doesn't depend on a particular weapon type. Something that would in fact be good for the game. So...

Re: Weaponmasters, again.

Then, like I mentioned earlier, the easiest solution would be to make a layman version of Gladiators that gives you only charge. It's a simple special that doesn't care about the weapon or lack thereof. My only worry is that such a move would pretty much empty many layman guilds (and probably some ...
