What if....alignment did degrade the same for both and evil (slow degradation for goodies like it's for evils)? Wouldn't that solve this issue since now both would be equally fair on the alignment question? (number of goodies vs evil grinders excluded).

Sure. I did a task to summarize the differences...and they are indeed enormous towards..one side. But, evil only quests should be available to goodaligned players using same bits elsewhere aswell.

MT is a major questhub, and therein lies the problem; New players that go the warlockroute (and other guilds) are locked from doing the quests - they need to quit their guilds first if they do "wrong" selection at the start. If the objective is to keep it balanced then alignment must scale the same for both factions. Furthermore, asymmetric design or not, xp-footprint for grinders for both factions must also be equal.
