Just an update. It is unlikely the re-work of the magic system will be tested properly by Christmas (2020). So unfortunately I can't commit to it being rolled out this year. I'll provide an update when a testing timeline becomes clearer.

Before this change, we wouldn't, for example, have cases of skill redundancy in combat too easily. Now, using Kender/Pirate as an example, one can more easily pay double combat aid for overlapping acrobatics. Is that something that is taken into consideration in some way? Besides troubling thoughts...

A number of the race options of the Krynn racial guild actually do pay tax. While elves and half-elves have a cosmetic infravision that provides no combat benefit, they do pay tax for it. Minotaurs and kender are other races that pay a racial tax for some of their unique racial benefits.

An evil layman healing? Why? They're all Warlocks now anyways. They get all the super bonuses for a melee fighter and a ton of very useful abilities for pvp. If I was a pvp-lover or a bully I wouldn't want to go elsewhere. And how many of the people who grind their hearts out really care about a go...
