Re: What does your character name say about him/her
That would be none other than Sorgum, who initially got me into the game. He and I were very close while he lived in Boston, but then he went to grad school at UW. Strangely enough, the distance caused us to ose touch to some extent (this pre-dated all of the messaging programs). Once he introduced ...

Re: What does your character name say about him/her
My name was initially "Farton" (yes, your suspicions about the origin would be correct). I was playing nethack and stinking it up, so I started calling all of my restarts "Farton the Furious". When I was introduced to Gen (a reluctant player) by a friend, I just mindlessly went w...

Re: Player pictures
Don't be shy people! While sometimes in game we'd like nothing better than to behead each other, I honestly believe that if I were to meet anyone from the game IRL that we'd get along. It takes a certain kind of person to enjoy a game like this so we all probably have more in common than we think (o...

Let it be known that within the hallowed grounds of Boston, Per shall evermore be known as 'Pat', a fine and proper Irish name.

Re: Dork-fest 2014-04-10 @ Boston
My apologies - I am woefully out of touch with who else might be in Boston! I thought I was a lone wolf (besides Sorgum who has long since stopped playing) around here. We could do a meetup in these parts for whomever might be around and interested. In the nether realm, we nazgul are far more friend...

Re: 2 week limit on potions, components and herbs
Amorana and Celephias: Yes a spellcaster in Genesis can use a lot of components in one day, and your numbers are even pretty low compared to some more of the more, persistent, powergrinding spellcasters out there. So yeah, making components not save, or having a pretty low limit on how much you can...

Biting your nails to know what the demon was holding? No less than a pronounced constitution, pronounced haste and pronounced intelligence imbuement! It is likely the mightiest ring of power ever unearthed! There is one even mightier yet! ;-) I already gave it to you once. I don't know what more yo...

Re: 2 week limit on potions, components and herbs
I would think that with the 'new' stacking system, that the load on the game isn't actually very great. Obviously, I'm no wiz and maybe one can comment - I can imagine that having 1 suranie in my pouch or 10,000 suranie in my pouch takes up the same amount of space in terms of game resources. Excep...
