Re: GWC and GMCP Wishlist
I honestly haven't been playing because I was really hoping that room.mobs and room.items would be implemented and I wanted to wait for that before I started scripting again. While I am not a wizard, I think such items are quite clearly not on agenda, because they would allow for full botting, whic...

Re: What's the point - learning spell skills in Adventure Gu
Anyway, I suspect that the spell skills in AG may relate to skill decay. Not really. If you are not in a guild, you can train and expect the skill to remain at the upper level trainable by AG. For spell skills, I think, it was superior amateur, so that's the level they will remain as long as you ha...

Not neccessary. You can get the spell even now. Getting the ingredient for casting it, however, may be a problem.Mim wrote:Use a time machine.Resnick wrote:Cool. I will have to find that quest. Re: What's the point - learning spell skills in Adventure Gu
Only way i can see at the moment is to make it time restricted, maybe combined with a condition to end it. The darkvision you describe sounds like something that player would have always available. Sounds a bit too powerful, even if timed, after all we have a number guilds for that? And if it is ma...

Re: What's the point - learning spell skills in Adventure Gu
One other consideration is how much access to abilities that mirror guild abilities should players get without needing to pay guild tax? So apart from requiring coding, these abilities would also need to be considered from a game balance perspective. We do have weapons and embues that mimic guild a...

Re: Processing output while running script?
Maybe there is, but in general I think it is done by separate trigger. If you want it to fire only when you are searching for the herbs, one way that works is to set a switch in an alias and use that alias instead of plain mud command for searching. Then in the trigger you check for the switch and r...

Re: Strange message
I certainly did not remove any scarf or flash a smile. It's a broken item. Leave a 'bug' report on the item if you have one or a sysbug. But I did not have the item. No scarf what so ever in my inventory. It seems to me that the game somehow displayed a message that was meant for someone else, for ...

Re: Evil Magic Layman Recode
From the Genesis page it is said that Necromancers of Vile Darkness are in Faerun, under Waterdeep.
However, as I understood from the talk on the newbie line, the path to Waterdeep is actually closed.
Have the Necromancers moved?

Really. I can't see what kind of problem people are trying to solve here. Or rather, I can't see, if people have thought out the consequences.... if their wish is granted somehow. Want to be a myth in a month? Why? If getting biggest is your goal, don't you see that as soon as you reach the soft cap...
