Re: Cooking Event 2020!

Recipe: Salmon plate - just like they make at The Snowhouse! Ingredients: 1/3 cup butter 2 Tbsp Cajun or blackened seasoning 1 tsp minced garlic 1/2 cup white wine 4-6 salmon fillets lemon wedges Sourcing your Salmon: Fresh-caught wild salmon is healthiest and most flavorful, but if you aren't an a...

Re: Magic Maps

Hi Cherek, Thank you for your detailed reply, and in particular the reassurance that it is not planned that all new magic maps will necessarily lack the path detail that is so vital to navigation. It just so happened that I had been to the three locations I showed recently and not seen any maps that...

Magic Maps

I have noticed that recent additions or changes to the magic map in areas such as Calia and Sybarus do not show even the obvious exits, and can not really be considered a map at all, but instead more of a compass. It was my hope that the goal for the web client was to continue to close the gap in fu...

Re: Perma-saving items

That sounds very sensible, Cherek. There does seem to need to be a way to make sure nothing lasts forever, as that is unnatural, and decay makes more sense than an arbitrary periodic purge. It also limits the impact of any items that have somehow avoided the combat decay system, in a non-abrupt way ...

Re: Perma-saving items

This solution, including the equipment purge, seems as fair as possible for all. My initial reaction was horror, then I thought about it a bit more, and slowly came to this conclusion! It will definitely take some getting used to, in particular I will be interested to see how it affects equipment hu...

Re: WHO - why too much transparency is bad for Genesis

Getting rid of the unknown people on who list only affects those who are not Obscenely Rich members of the Rich Men's Club, who see names of all members who login, whether they've met them or not. Between the newbie helper pin and RMC members you would have probably 90% or more of the current who li...

Leading spaces deleted - ugly scrolls

I have noticed the web client removes leading spaces, whether in a say or sending mail. This is of particular issue when trying to send scrolls via mail. If I copy a scroll header from notepad+ that looks like this: _________________________________________________________________ /_\ \ //_\| | |\_/...

ASCII text scroll generator

Hello all, I had seen someone asking about an ascii text scroll generator on discord, and was looking for one myself and could not find one. So I created an incredibly basic scroll generator with my feeble web dev skills and here it is. Hope someone finds it helpful. Forum won't let me attach html i...

Web Client aliases do not load if they contain % sign

Hi Genesis admins and fans :) I have been running into problems with aliases on the web client, and have tracked it down to printing certain special characters, specifically a % sign: Pattern: testpercent Execute the following javascript: gwc.output.append("This alias won't load because it has a % i...
