Re: Dulling vs undulling weapons and more.

But..it would make it more fair and balanced, yes? I think it's a good gamedesign that similar opportunities regarding game itemization exists for all, and not just for some. So, FBB is very hard to come by, therefore, other weapons of same category needs the same "challenge rating". That would be f...

Re: Drow and Minas Tirith - latest status?

Sure. I did a task to summarize the differences...and they are indeed enormous towards..one side. But, evil only quests should be available to goodaligned players using same bits elsewhere aswell.

Re: Drow and Minas Tirith - latest status?

MT is a major questhub, and therein lies the problem; New players that go the warlockroute (and other guilds) are locked from doing the quests - they need to quit their guilds first if they do "wrong" selection at the start. This is...terrible gamedesign. So, if we can solve this by pushing the ques...

Re: Evil cities

If the objective is to keep it balanced then alignment must scale the same for both factions. Furthermore, asymmetric design or not, xp-footprint for grinders for both factions must also be equal. This gives the opportunity of goodies grinding in goodiegrinders with no penalties and vice versa , wit...

Re: Brainstorming alternatives to guild power transfer

If you stand in the church, idling, the boulder will squash you. In other words, you earn no points and therefore you will be removed. While such meters may be more complex / check for nested premises, an hypothetical example for a single-layered meter will reward somebody 1 point for every 100 herb...

Re: Brainstorming alternatives to guild power transfer

Activitymeters, because they work. The simplest one works like this: Requires x hours of out of guildhall activity per z time. Clock counts downwards even if you are offline. If you play too little, you will be replaced, and you cant just quickly remedy it with some simple and mundane action. Option...

Warlocks 2.0 now live.

Greetings denizens of the donut, Due to the global layman review and rebalance, Warlocks of Faerun has been slightly changed accordingly to the new directive of AoB. Members may experience alterations and changes in terms of relative power, but also in emergent new potential guild dynamics. Have fun...

Re: WHO - why too much transparency is bad for Genesis

What if who command keeps a delay on unknown players? People you have on remember will be present / visible in realtime, but others you have heard of / not in memory will still be displayed over x time (even if they log out). That should add a disruptive element in who's actually online (unless you ...

Re: Quests with alignment restrictions

A possible solution to doing for example MT quests as evil would be under a disguise spell that limits the player actions within that city. Such a spell or effect should be earmarked for evil characters to finish those quests.

Thoughts about a solution such as this?
