Re: Adjustment to spell effects postponed

I have read this thread several times now but somehow I still dont understand. Can you simplify this and explain it as you would to a 3 year old....is this a buff or a nerf to casters in general? What this will do is more closely align the existing spell formula with how 'normal' special attacks wo...

Monks without shields would be awesome.
Perhaps even give them a thematic weapon such as polearms, like the old monks had.
I loved the Kahedans. I don't need much of an excuse to bring the axe kick back!! ;)

Re: plexus

The Dragon Order is in dire need of transitioning over to the standardised combat system. It is the last occupational fighter guild not transitioned. Ckrik is the wizard leading the transition recode. RL has restricted his ability to progress the recode as far as he'd like over the last few years......

Re: Wizards be warned!!

This is the dead body of Arman. It looks bruised and battered. A peculiar padded shirt, a stiff hide cloak, a bone impaler, three silver coins and a gold coin are on the corpse of Arman. > You get a peculiar padded shirt from the corpse of Arman. You all shall now live in fear Bocephus the Wizard S...

Re: Dulling vs undulling weapons and more.

The points have been made, the Arch of Balance has replied. What happens now? So, they get added to the AoB team's to-do list. For me my number one focus is re-writing the damage formula for the magic system. From root to branch. There is going to be changes from how spell success works, how stats ...

Re: Drow and Minas Tirith - latest status?

I think you are confusing understandable with fair. It is very understandable how it happened. With the QEXP cap, the more quests that get introduced reduces the importance of MT as a necessary quest hub. The solution is simply there needs to be more quests so that you don't need to rely on one que...

Re: Dulling vs undulling weapons and more.

Great post Nils. Some good topics raised. Dulling The Genesis rumour mill dictates: *The Arch of Balance "doesn't like" undulling weapons. I guess that's his prerogative, but -we do-. *There is a rule saying undulling weapons aren't allowed/another undulling weapon will never be introduced to the ga...

Re: Drow and Minas Tirith - latest status?

Arman. The problem is this. Minas Tirith is THE biggest questhub in Genesis. It has the total amassed quest XP gathered in one place. And it is locked off to anyone who is evil OR that the rangers just don't like. So no it is not understandable since there is NO equivalent to that for evil characte...
