Re: Global layman guild review

I would very much like to see Beastmasters open. From what I understand it is basically finished already? The minstrels would be a lot more popular if they weren't so under-powered, and that would be great for the game, I think.

Re: the web client and competing triggers

Good to know. I forget now which two triggers it was, that only one of them fired. If it happens again I'll note it and post here.

the web client and competing triggers

Sometimes a bit of text from the game will include syntax that matches the pattern of more than one trigger. When that happens, usually (always?) only one of the triggers will fire. Does anyone know how the order is determined? My best guess, and this seems silly to me but it has held true so far (w...

Re: Impending changes to 'quietstone' imbues

A point to ponder is. Letting the quietstones keep a good portion of power since it takes A LOT of time to collect an intense one and rather fix the larger issue that is eternally saving items. I think quite a lot of us would have been happy with an option to rent a locker to store a few items (2? ...

Re: WHO - why too much transparency is bad for Genesis

I've found it ironic that there can be unknown 'legends' and 'myths'. Clearly, you do not listen to enough Neil Young. Seriously, though, I don't think other players' renown should be coded. Much more effective as a result of roleplay, like the scary stories I heard about Fluffy before ever encount...

Re: WHO - why too much transparency is bad for Genesis

You make some good points, Kelrhys. Finally, with regards to titles being static, this would be so confusing! Also, I personally use title changes as material for roleplay, and others have for me as well. It encourages interaction, to congratulate someone on reaching a new level (or, uh, losing one)...

Re: WHO - why too much transparency is bad for Genesis

I agree with much of this. A change to the <who> function is in order, in favor of more secrecy / anonymity.

Re: Regarding quest experience

Just for the record, I think the idea that a new character automatically just gets quest experience, because another character played by the same human on the nether side of a computer screen already has that quest experience, is hugely stupid. New character, new experiences. I'm neglecting all the ...
