Re: Pasting documents

A thumbs-up for Notepad++ here as well.
I used to use UltraEdit32, but switched to Notepad++ after I migrated to a new OS, and am quite pleased with how it works out. Plus it's free!

Re: Kiara's quick fix for PVP

The game has no need to be balanced in PVE. Who cares what another player can do that way? I certainly don't care what a player can do against another NPC. Why should you? Should that not be obvious? PvE -> leads to stats, gear, trinkets, imbuements, money -> leads to advantages in PvP -> leads to ...

Re: Stats - Diminishing Returns

The Achievers thoroughly won Genesis , with the Killers, Socializers and Explorers being left far behind. Look at what the game rewards for PvP, Roleplay and Exploring: PvP Reward: The game does not reward you for PvP'ing, except perhaps the "joy" of knowing the opponent lost gear, components, Xp R...

Re: Stats - Diminishing Returns

3) to PVP (rewarded by your hard work in #1) This is where his hard work and years of grinding come to shine those who have worked so hard to get their size Can we please stop refering to grinding as "hard work". It's a game, not work. Grinding is so monotonous that it can be done while watching a ...

Re: wars and warfare.

If you have a special "PvP zone", can't you just blend the dwarf at the gate to the Holm and the amulet for the newbie dungeon? That way you HAVE to wear your allegiance-item (uniform or whatever) if you want to enter, and when you put it on, all stats are lowered to averaged-out human hero stats, b...

Re: wars and warfare.

Size and guild imbalances in PvP are probably a barrier, but even if it was actually a level playing field, then who would be obvious candidates? I can't really think of two guilds that have enough active members to participate in a guildwar against eachother. So, if the imbalances were ironed out, ...

Re: Death Penalty Opinions

2. With no recovery, it would be INSANE to change even layman guilds.... It took me about 300 fantastics to become a fabled swordsman! thats 4200 proggresslevels!!! bye bye RL!!!! :) Fun thought... somekind of shaky too.. Some players must be playing in a different reality than I am. I just changed...

Re: Death Penalty Opinions

I think you are right - Currently we're focusing on the third link in a chain that could look like this: Balance issues -> PvP issues -> Death penalty issues Right now the focus is on solving the Death penalty mechanics, where the underlying problem is perhaps a PvP issue, which in turn is a balance...

Re: Death Penalty Opinions

If Logg wants to return, he know that he has recovery and can grind some back. But when he login he just see that he is slightly violent without recovery period at all Slightly violent at Myth? I'm somewhat violet at Titan - I wonder how little quest-Xp I have compared to everyone else, but I bet t...

Re: Death Penalty Opinions

I like the possibility for stat-redistribution, but I think it should be more expensive - Like x5 or 10 of what you listed. Apart from that then I was thinking your earlier proposal sounded better, but at least this new proposal is incrementally better than our previous system. I love the communicat...
