Re: The team

Typing words "genesis" and "mud" into any internet search engine might help as well.

Re: layman choices - good vs evil (partly rant)

Let thieves make theire own poisons with various effects based on alch skill and guildstat? Give them some basic herbalism skkill of like... con journey and force them to farm herbs to fix poisons. I would imagine thieves would need herbs and alchemy for making poisons and coating blades with poiso...

Re: layman choices - good vs evil (partly rant)

Looks like everyone is a powerplayer this days :( Its quite simple and I wouldnt blame people. People play the game to be mighty warriors, brave knights, mad sorcerers, ..., hot women  Nobody wants to be a loser. If most people find something is not useful for them, they wont use it. That ...

Re: layman choices - good vs evil (partly rant)

I doubt thieves will have any major recode.
1. No active members
2. no whine power
3. no recode

And there are no members...because thieves need recode

Re: layman choices - good vs evil (partly rant)

Shhhh... You're destroying the image of my favorite layman guild ;) I understand that you have a lot of sympathy for thieves. But regardless of your sympathy and to be back on topic, thieves are not much layman choice option. I might add that I like thieves from general RPG perspective. But I do no...

Re: layman choices - good vs evil (partly rant)

Remember that mercs can adapt their sneak and hide skills (at the price of not adapting combat skills in their place) but don't get the autosneak which makes the entire venture rather pointless. Especially that you would need to use up a substantial amount of adaptation points to get this skills fr...

Re: layman choices - good vs evil (partly rant)

As far as stealing coins go, you wouldn't believe how fast you can earn your living as a smallfry when you're a thief. A trip around Kabal (oh Grumbar, how I miss you and your platinum coins), Shire or Gont is excellent profit even with lower skill. And don't forget that stealing stuff gives you ge...

Re: layman choices - good vs evil (partly rant)

But I bet there also a number of NPCs that you can still steal from... but not many. Yeah...and why not just kill them? When people were much smaller both backstab and poisons were much more useful. With tons of con, like Sharn says, its not anymore. My thoughts exactly. However there are still som...

Re: layman choices - good vs evil (partly rant)

Ad. Pickpocket: Pickpocket doesn't have to be used to obtain something, you may as well use it to deny things (stealing the poisoned dagger from cook in haradrim camp, stealing potions from the big orc in orc camp so he can't heal, getting to Garren's chest without killing the poor chap etc.). I us...
