Re: Playable thief skills

Technically there is very little xp to be gained for stealing and disarming traps but it's not really a viable way of gaining experience. My idea of adding thief content was by adding more significant traps and doors without keys to some of the top grind areas as well as maybe locking some of the to...

Re: The rise of the Nameless Horror!

That's why I wasn't suggesting hiding the title but rather changing it slightly to be more thematically fitting. Like the "Goblinbane of Thornlin Militia" could turn into "Krougbane of Gelan Guard" when you're a Calian Warrior. Obviously this should not work for all the guilds as some are pretty the...

Re: The rise of the Nameless Horror!

A better solution I think would be to alter the layman title based on your OCC choice, similarly to what Blacksmiths have. If we also added the OCC title switch for Mercs similar to SoHM (not affiliation, switch based on your current layman) we could get some really interesting choices. Mercs and So...

Re: List of layman ideas (Middle Earth)

Warg raiders would be great but that's pretty much covered by Throtyl Raiders now.

Uruk-hai layman upgrade for orcs with stunning special (like the orcs in Moria and the camps have) is an interesting possibility...

Re: List of layman ideas (Middle Earth)

I wonder why orcs are on the list. We already have orcs (and they're awesome).

Re: The case for closure – fighter guilds

Some people's long careers that switch between being KoS, SoHM and FK and possibly many more I think should be reminding us all that generally people do accept others making new choices and taking new paths instead of thinking "nah they didn't change paths they want our power, they were traitors of...

Re: The case for closure – fighter guilds

I don't think any one person can tell you that. People are free to express their discontent with the application processes to specific guilds though (I have one in mind but won't divulge as to not bias people).

Re: The case for closure – fighter guilds

Most guild secrets have been in circulation for ages. In any case, I too find the application process to be fun and engaging, the problems arise when you can't really do it due to absent, inactive and/or uncaring leadership in the guilds. Personally I see no reason why joining a guild and advancing ...

Re: The case for closure – fighter guilds

I really like the idea of the influence points. I was discussing something similar with a few mortals, like pros and cons of various systems. What if people could vie for power within each guild with those influence points and top ranked one gets the leadership? Obviously, this should not be a singl...

Re: The case for closure – fighter guilds

Another cool metric we could have is total guild members/guild members active in the last week for each guild and it could maybe be posted and updated weekly like the stats on the main website. Then each year an aggregate of that, with average total and average active. This would give a better view ...
