Re: Playing Genesis in Virtual Reality with Oculus
Better to get an HTC Vive. They're coming out in a month.

You step into the white light, gently descend, and then step out.
Calian warrior's guild.
There are four obvious exits: east, north, southwest and northeast.
A bulky crystal receptacle and a public bulletin board of the Calian guild.
Two Kroms.

Re: Playing Genesis in Virtual Reality with Oculus
Yeah, Virtual Desktop is actually a very cool program. That would be the best way to play it in VR for now, I'd think. Later it should be more integrated into Windows 10.Kas wrote:I used Virtual Desktop with my Oculus DK2 to play Genesis yesterday. Very interesting indeed.
Awesome program.

Playing Genesis in Virtual Reality with Oculus
I was attending an event in AltSpaceVR ( http://www.altvr.com ) and thought I'd give playing Genesis in virtual reality a try. Sure enough, it worked! Took a video here: https://youtu.be/OR8BTKxUZ0g It's funny to me because it's one of the oldest multiplayer games being played inside one of the newe...

Re: Keeping your titles and basing them differently ...
It would certainly help the new people grow to compete with the older players. Mortal levels are mostly worthless as is. It's the stats that matter. This way mortal levels would mean something. I would encourage this suggestion, especially as a promotional gimmick. The effects of any griefing would ...

Re: Elemental Cleric Neutrality a Farce
Uh... you're probably right historically. But no one cares about that anymore. A lot of Americans were British Royalists in 1780, but it's not like most Americans today are even aware of that. Regarding alignment, maybe you should ask your friends to test that for you. Some members come back to the ...

Re: Elemental Cleric Neutrality a Farce
They are hard coded that they can't log out/log in with an evil alignment. Might want to check your facts on that one. And the guild leadership has (almost - I put that in as a disclaimer because I'm sure someone will come up with some short period of time where the leadership didn't hold that way)...

Re: Elemental Cleric Neutrality a Farce
The relationship between the Calian Warriors and the future Elemental Clerics is speculative, and our agreement with the SCoP calls to re-evaluate at that time. The SCoP and the Warriors' interests are very much in line, but the SCoP will cease to exist, hypothetically. Currently, The SCoP and the W...

Re: What are you reading right now?
I agree Snow Crash is good. I went back to back Snowcrash ---> Ready Player One but I gotta say I find the latter more enjoyable, if less imaginative. Snowcrash is convoluted and Ready Player One is a more straight forward, easy read.

Re: What are you reading right now?
Yeah, it's pretty damn good, especially if you like the concept of virtual reality and 80's pop culture.
