Re: The case for closure – fighter guilds
Rangers If they haven't already, RoI and RoN should have been merged under one council. Similarily to DA, they can keep their separate skills and perks in different areas. I remember - couple months ago - I saw a note in the camp near MT, dating September(?) that Rangers are closing all recruitment...

Re: Druids of the Donut
Redblade, I think you are right about unarmed but you focused too much on that. What do you think of the rest as a theme? As for the range of abilities... I suggest you make an alt and try warlocks, hoots.... I am pretty sure you are at least remotely aware of Heralds as well, and the range is quit...

Re: Druids of the Donut
*Reminds everyone that they are going off-topic* *No, seriously* I like the idea of full spellcaster druids to be honest. I think adding alchemy is off theme. (Alchemists could also be an option as a different guild!) Shapeshifting might be cool and all but it seems too forced. What do we need to p...

Re: List of layman ideas (Middle Earth)
Details folks! Here comes! Riders of Rohan Make it a horseback guild that kind of uses some sort of CW-like group tactic? Charge of Rohirrim is imho pretty epic. Maybe just if they are a bigger group (questionable) they can get a damaging hit when beginning the combat? To note, there is currently n...

Re: The case for closure – fighter guilds
I would take a different approach. Where you say "this suck, let's close it/reduce it" I would often seek the approach "this sucks! let's fix it! let's make it better!". Also, the argument you keep hearing in other threads from administration was "We do not need more occupat...

Re: Druids of the Donut
I know this idea has been floated before, but I really think the game could use a more purely druidic option than the EW, if for no other reason than that, with their ties to EC and Callians, EW is political. This argument gets thrown a lot. Really folks... EW are neutral, non-political guild. The ...

Re: The rise of the Nameless Horror!
Not every thread needs to turn into a Redblade whine-thread. Everyone agrees Rangers are underpowered and have needed a recode for the better part of two decades. Now, stop derailing. Oh, I've been keeping my mouth shut for several years and only speaking in game :) Seems whining is what works thes...

Re: The rise of the Nameless Horror!
It takes _decades_ to max out in some guilds? Which guilds are those? Let me know and I'll move them to the top of the "to be closed"-list :) No, I don't have such a list. So don't worry. But I really do not think it should take decades to max out anything in Genesis. Not even years. Guil...

Re: Stealth guild for newbies?
Noone said the guild has to have pick-pocket at all, was just a suggestion. I disagree stealth is about stealing, 3/4 OCC Stealth guilds don't have pickpocket as far as I know, or at least the theme is not about stealing if they do have it. You focus on thieves and tricksters, I focus more on Archer...

Re: The rise of the Nameless Horror!
So basically: Nerull offered to do it, saying it all depends on the administrative, asking the question "do we need more OCC guilds?" Subsequently the administration said "No, we don't (supported by some sad data)".
I don't know, that feels like pretty much it, no?
