Re: saving time of non-combat items
Gorboth: I think so. Sometimes I dont play for a few weeks, sometimes for a couple of months. Somtimes RL takes up alot of time, sometimes I just dont feel like playing, etc, etc. I know for a fact many others do the same. When you do return, it would be nice to still have the stuff you collected yo...

Re: saving time of non-combat items
For once I completely agree with Laurel. :) Is there any reason for this? As Sharn mentioned when losing all your stuff for the x'th time you'll just feel like quitting right after you login. There's been alot of talk about how to make the game more playable for casual players, making herbs, potions...

Re: Where did the promotion campaign go?
Please remember that at least a third of the so called "active" population are on idle triggers in their guilds and then I don't know how many that are running on scripts and those few left either grind alone or lead someone on a script hardly talking. Do you know how often I log on, get ...

Re: Where did the promotion campaign go?
Celephias: I suggested newbie helpers get a message when newbies log in and out before. Perhaps it can be implemented! That would indeed help us to "catch" the true newbies. *nudge gorboth* I like this idea. Should make those who are really interested in pursuing helping newbies an easy w...

Re: Where did the promotion campaign go?
Hektor: Good points. To answer your questions at the bottom: I think new people who stay do it primarly because either they have a RL friend who play, or they make friends in the game. These olkd or new friends can show them the tricks, give them the maps, and the quest solutions, help them with the...

Re: Where did the promotion campaign go?
I completely agree Arcon. I know a little of coding and starting from scratch to make a web client that is as good as or better than cmud / zmud is going to take time. And that is if we had someone working on it. We dont even have that. This web client has been in the works for so long and according...

Re: Where did the promotion campaign go?
Gorboth: Whats so terrible about the current web client? I only see one real flaw, a big one, but still. It is that if you alt-tab from the window and back, you have to re-select the input window. Very annoying and it makes it very hard to use. Solve that, and its fine imho. It even has aliases, tri...
