Re: Ability Transparency
What about doing something similar with all skills? I seem to recall the help files not being so helpful..

Re: Magic Maps
This is an excellent idea. Likely solves all the issues. And gets people to actively explore all the nooks and crannies. Those that like to quest, get a small bonus.

Re: Need more players, not less guilds
Cherek, I like how you're throwing ideas out there. It's nice to know what wizards are thinking, more importantly what the admin are thinking. Having been around long enough I know that these are just ideas. My experience has lead to understand that vast majority of these sorts of ideas are ever act...

Re: Perma-saving items
To get an intense imbue you need 81 cracked of a particular stone. But you can combine any 3 to get the one you want. So 243 of any cracked for a specific intense. For me, playing 3-4 hours a day, just looking for imbues, roughly 3-4 per day. Say 4 for ease of math. Not hard data though, just memory...

Re: Perma-saving items
I like your proposed system Arman. Have you considered adding a bit of a sliding scale based on discipline? Perhaps around 100 hours at low levels of dis, maybe 200 at high levels of discpline. This would help maintain the idea of adding some usefulness to discipline especially once one surpases th...

Re: Perma-saving items
The change makes some imbued items to degrade but others stay forever (or till the next purge, whenver it may be). Who said anything about casters? You did. but I do not believe that causes a major imbalance? An example. A magic user will possess a few intense heal and spellcraft imbues, which he w...

Re: Perma-saving items
Why not simply remove the no dull/no break properties of all weapons? Also, remove all ironstone imbued armours as well. People have greatly benefited from the ironstoned items just as much as the no dull/no break weapons. If you were to change it so these items only lasted an Armageddon or two, the...
