Re: What would it take?

70% of all Mudders use these or have at one point and time. That's an interesting stat, where did you get that? If you post something I'll write a paragraph or two as a follow up. Maybe some of the follow ups could be the recruitment posters we see plastered all of Genesis, along with follow up rol...

Re: What would it take?

These are some sites that have done blogs on nostalgic games. You could make a letter and tell them were doing a "revitalization" of a classic game and give them the date, see if any do a piece on it. http://www.gameinformer.com/blogs/members/b/mray901_blog/archive/2012/02/09/my-top-12-nos...

Re: What would it take?

Here's a forum dedicated to MUD advertisement, maybe you could coordinate a day across multiple sites.

Re: What would it take?

the /r/mud community over at reddit does a "Lets MUD together!" event. You can read about it here http://www.reddit.com/r/MUD/comments/mxifh/lets_muddecember/ You could set up an event for redditors and make it something exciting for them, talk about how we've been open since 1989 (some MU...

Re: What would it take?

- Starting a fundraiser to raise money for paid banners / Google Adwords / Facebook Ads, etc. Using for instance http://www.kickstarter.com/ - Donating money for advertisement. Yes paid advertisement really does work. Especially since we need a pretty small number. I think those two could create an ...

Re: Evil guilds, more or less folded?

All I see are Morgul Mages and Blue Dragon Army soldiers. The population has grown so small everyone just switches based on where everyone else is. "Can't beat em join em!"

Kind of an interesting trend.

Re: Dropping brute and New use of your Questxp pool.

What if the mortal level capped at champion, but guild experience (and its affect on on guild abilities) never capped?

Anyone currently over the champion (or any agreed upon mortal size) cap could have their remaining experience turned into guild experience.

Why not make them imbuements? Instead of having the "unusual, peculiar, exotic" tags they have more guild themed tags?

Re: RIP Steve Jobs

I've never been a huge fan of Apple products, although I can certainly appreciate them. Instead of celebrating the products he created I'd like to take a moment to celebrate how he lived his life, which had a huge impact on me. In 2005 Steve Jobs gave a commencement speech to Standford graduates. Be...

Re: And he's wearing... what, TWO shields??

I agree that two shields is odd. I'm really surprised the Mages do it, but it has been big part of the Monk culture for some time. There are supporting pieces of thematic code for the double-shields in the Dragon Order. That doesn't justify it, but it gives you an idea about how widely accepted its ...
