Re: Underlying cause and proposed solution to broken trust
Nah, Kvat - I tested acrobat, and even setting it extremely high (like sup. professional) is pretty much worthless. And Rache, no - mercs arent the best tanks around by a looong shot. Plus they totally suck at pvp, I guess as a tradeoff for the versatility, which - I agree - is nice. I was just rep...

Re: Underlying cause and proposed solution to broken trust
A big versatility benefit, which I think most would agree makes up for not using the maximum possible caid allowable for guilds. You see this in action, with mercenaries being the new "meta" guild. With the imbalanced acrobat ability, they are [anecdotally] the best tanks in the game at t...

Re: Death penalty
Unless you're ungodly big it's easy to recover. Yup it's super easy. It's also super easy to get to 300 average, it just take a lot of time. Having to spend a lot of time just to recover to where you were before can be discouraging (for bigger players it can take just as much or even more time than...

Re: Death penalty
There should be a penalty for pdeath, but certainly not as large a penalty as there is now. For your average myth who isn't free to grind 8+ hours/day, it's a recovery time usually measured in months. This is patently ridiculous for a pvp penalty, and I think the majority of players agree. Dark Sou...

Re: Underlying cause and proposed solution to broken trust
You have a high profile player, Cassius... You have a wizard, Carnak, making changes that fundamentally split the game up... and that seem to benefit said high profile player. hmm Cassius is RDA/Lock the changes actually hit RDA pretty hard (look at posts of unhappy BDA and Calia players and multip...

are we at the point to finally discuss removal/mitigation of death penalty in the game?

Re: Autohunting vs Autotracking
I think we should add rule that playing via telnet is mandatory
I am still not sure about in-game alias option - but it might be a bit too innovative for my taste as well

Re: Autohunting vs Autotracking
This is what the rules say: Using triggers to hunt another player or using a speedwalking path to escape player versus player combat will result in: 1st offense - Warning 2nd offense - Death without recovery For this "autotracking" to be an actual benefit in PVP you'd have to set up trigg...

Re: Autohunting vs Autotracking
Oh ffs, just accept you suck at pvp. And yes he is that good without any autohunt. I've been at the end of his stick and barely survived even before changes. And no I wasn't autohunted. How do you imagine autohunting when he is not in same room as you and trigger cant log direction. Tracking have a...
