Guild Tax

Some time ago it used to be possible to see one's guilds and taxes in certain adventurer's guilds. I noted the other day that you can still list your guilds, but that taxes have been removed. Can this functionality be restored? If not, what's the compelling factor from doing so?

Agree with Kas' suggestions, maybe take a harder look at the stat imbues, but leave others alone (for now). Revert drop rate back to prior levels. I understand the point, but still think this is a cart before the horse sort of thing. Are you really suggesting that we should nerf the utility of an alcohol/herb combination because the healing of utility is negatively impacted? I guess we do. I just don't see how skunk or whitehorn plus alcohol can beat same plus spell. If your spell is that weak, supplicate for a change in the spell, not a change in the herbs.

Sure they can have torches or lights. They can also get mass attacked when they ignite them. Herbing can be time-consuming and annoying. I'm not a big scripter, so generally I'm watching the screen while "you search for such and such herb" scrolls along. Why nerf fruits of the labor?

Strongly disagree that herb/alcohol combination removes the need for healers. As Mortis indicated, healers have the same options available to other players, as well as a spell that provides instant healing in addition to the effects that alcohol and herbs can provide.
