Executions of Aliases?

In my ancient zMud client, I can make an alias (ie csua = cast suacovisp), and when I type the alias followed by something (ie csua <name>) it will execute the alias with the following statements. So if I use the above example I can type 'csua <name> <message>' and it'll work just fine. But when I t...

Re: If you were to take Weis or Hickman on a tour of Krynn..

I occasionally follow the conversations of Margaret Weis and Tracey Hickman - the authors of the Dragonlance Chronicles where the world of Krynn is based from - on Goodreads where they engage with their fan base, and I sometimes wonder what it would be like taking them a tour of Krynn in Genesis. I...

Re: Crowdfunding money to pay someone to improve the client?

One feature that is gravely missing though, is a way to create scrolls/books and maps via the client. zMud have a editor window, where you can paste in to from notepad or something, and then send it all in one go. So something like that could work. It seems the feature is already on wishlist* in th...

Crowdfunding money to pay someone to improve the client?

I'm generally impressed with the official client, and I presume it has helped many new players get easy access to the game. One feature that is gravely missing though, is a way to create scrolls/books and maps via the client. zMud have a editor window, where you can paste in to from notepad or somet...

Re: Bonk deleted

I've given a great deal of thought as to how to make pvp more fun in Genesis. Here are a few of the ideas that I think would work. But, they all come with various downsides: Implement the damned stat cap: This is the one that would probably fix everything. The upsides are considerable - It would gi...

Re: Pasting documents

A thumbs-up for Notepad++ here as well.
I used to use UltraEdit32, but switched to Notepad++ after I migrated to a new OS, and am quite pleased with how it works out. Plus it's free!

Re: Kiara's quick fix for PVP

The game has no need to be balanced in PVE. Who cares what another player can do that way? I certainly don't care what a player can do against another NPC. Why should you? Should that not be obvious? PvE -> leads to stats, gear, trinkets, imbuements, money -> leads to advantages in PvP -> leads to ...

Re: Stats - Diminishing Returns

The Achievers thoroughly won Genesis , with the Killers, Socializers and Explorers being left far behind. Look at what the game rewards for PvP, Roleplay and Exploring: PvP Reward: The game does not reward you for PvP'ing, except perhaps the "joy" of knowing the opponent lost gear, compon...

3) to PVP (rewarded by your hard work in #1) This is where his hard work and years of grinding come to shine those who have worked so hard to get their size Can we please stop refering to grinding as "hard work". It's a game, not work. Grinding is so monotonous that it can be done while w...
