Disclosure policy?

The thing I was thinking about, especially seeing some of Ilrahil's posts around here... What are everyone's thoughts about the full disclosure policy? What does it mean: - free sharing of some guild info, within some boundaries of course, secret guilds are such for a reason. What I mean here is tec...

Re: Faerun - Leia's Thread

Most of them are more than highly viable in my opinion. You just have to find the right use for the skills/abilities offered by them.

Re: Faerun - Leia's Thread

If i was talking OCC guilds i would get your point. And yes i agree with your point there. But lay guilds.. More the merrier.. Right now there are actually only a handful viable options for layman guilds.. Less then a handful even. I actually would love if there were 10-15 different layman guilds f...

Re: Faerun - Leia's Thread

Yes yes yes and yes!!!!!!!! Code the Harpers lay guild :D More like Herpes guild... (sorry, bad joke I know, but a couple beers and you'll get it) What Genesis needs now is definitely not more guilds. Playerbase is too small at its current state to diverse it even more. Also, it's not like Arkadia ...

Re: Moving Toward Promotion ...

Like I already suggested to Gorboth, some example could be taken from BatMUD. Their new (I don't know how new, I never played it, but the site looks pretty shiny and brand new to me) website is truly amazing, almost made me start playing it. http://www.bat.org/ Navigate to their Game Info section, s...

Re: Armour revamp ideas

Exactly what I had in mind. Just getting 'free armour' (as in, there is no tradeoff for wearing full-plate as opposed to leather armour, thus everyone will be using the plate if their str allows) isn't the best of systems.

Re: Armour revamp ideas

You mean like in the LotRO? You haven't got health there but morale. Liquid courage would make much more sense then :)

One more thing that comes to mind is splitting weapons to more types: one- and two-handed, chain weapons etc.

But that's all off-topic.

Armour revamp ideas

Hi there, It's been a long while since I last roamed the realms and now I'm back in new form. There is one thing I'd like to address that might enhance the game a bit if implemented (note: everything I'm writing here is just my opinion, I don't claim it to be some revealed truth that has to be the b...

Re: Holy jewelled sceptre.

The only advantage of sceptre is that you can't be disarmed with it.

I might be wrong though. It's been a very long while...

Re: MUD Client for Apple

TinyFugue would be my recommendation. It hasn't got all the fancy stuff like automapper or GUI (if you're playing with GUI it's not a MUD any more imo), but it allows for some great triggers, macros and hilites with just basic or no programming knowledge and for truly amazing macros and definitions ...
