Re: Equipment idea
The smiths could be so much useful at this, since every guild has at least one of them...

Re: Progress in the last 3 years
Knew it wasn't a riddle, but since you didn't mention it, it became one per se. Didn't think it would be that hard to code just because of the amount of rooms. I thought it was the thief's one because it sails to every domain...

Retiring characters
There is this game I absolutely love named Etrian Odyssey, a dungeon crawler. In the game, at anytime you can "retire" one of your characters. Retiring means the character leaves your group forever, and a new one is given to you as replacement. EO1 had a very harsh retirement, but EO2 was ...

Re: Progress in the last 3 years
I may reply to the original post later, but I am curious about Tapakah's riddle. Would that be the thief's ship?

Re: Who is the most killed NPC?
If we are talking about named creatures, I would go with Shale myself, he is small, has stuff for everyone, and easy to find. If we go with generic NPCs, the trolls in Terel could be, since Irk and his pals have killed thousands of them (not even considering what everyone else has killed there).

Re: Where did the promotion campaign go?
Suppose you are a player on hiatus, and are invited back to the game. So you accept and, after trying some guilds, you choose one that you feel is the most powerful. Then the global balance hits your guild and balances it down (since indeed was too powerful). How would you feel? So, I understand if ...

Just keep the right people out of the guild, and you would not have closure problems anymore...

Re: Imbuements Imminent?
We agree that we want Genesis to be more social. But who said imbuements are to be social? You can't force everything to be social: forging is a lonely thing, and I would hate that I had to bring three people to the forge so that one can pump the bellow, another work the wood, another work the leath...

Re: Variety.
That is the idea with the new economy concept Aeg was trying to create. Have woodsmen cutting trees that are sold to carpenters, who build wooden items that are sold to business. Have smiths forge tools that are used by miners to get gems. Combine several to build ships or carriages that are later u...

Re: Imbuements Imminent?
I disagree. If I take the time to pick every piece of armour and weapon dropped by a foe to sminspect them, I should be able to, eventually, get more rewards that someone who has a "get blue-glowing items from corpse" trigger, shouldn't I. Even if I don't do it, a newbie who spends his tim...
