Re: Another Death idea thread.
Amberlee - I agree and understand that point. If I can put words in Booger's mouth though, I would say that this is perhaps the problem to be solved rather than using deaths as a way to solve it.

Booger - well-said. I'd like to second those points.

Re: I ask again..
I think this is a reasonable idea. The game has much lore, and remembering those you took part is a nice thing to do.

Re: "Protected Areas"
A fair point Bromen and I believe that was one of Zestana's main points as well. I would say that no, they shouldn't be grinding there. I'm admittedly splitting hairs on how one defines grinding. For me, grinding means that they are NPCs that you basically kill whenever they are alive. I'm going for...

Player initiated events - Aloranna's tourney
Kudos to Aloranna for putting together the tournament event. It goes to show what can be done when a player is serious about doing something special in game. I'll let her speak for herself in terms of preparations, promotions, and effort, but as someone who participated (as a spectator - no vile mag...

Re: "Protected Areas"
I think the possible tension it creates in the game is a good thing and that it adds to the richness of the game, so long as it is backed by reasonable rationale and RP. That being said, I have yet to outright attack anyone for fighting with 'protected NPCs'. The exception would be a guild NPC, in w...

Re: Promotion, playerbase, grind areas, cloning and restorat
I agree with Laurel that for all intents and purposes we already have a soft stat cap. If someone really wants to spend countless hours for marginal gain, I say let them. There is a serious law of diminishing returns here, IMHO. I'm not sure we need more mortal levels. The extra detail provided on t...

Re: Web Art Style - Pros and Cons
Some great thoughts here. For me, I'm looking at it from the outside in. The banner is intended for people who nothing about Genesis AFAIK. The kind of questions to ask ourselves are: - Would this entice someone to give us a look (invoking some curiosity)? - Is it the right kind of person (e.g. some...

Re: Morgul Mage Discussion - power, grinding, balance
Laurel - you have to remember that the Society is an autocracy. So, if the King says "X", the Society does "X". There's no second guessing nor alternative paths.
And we certainly don't get to call him "retard" or somesuch (at least in earshot of anyone).
