As Cherek said, with several hundred sturdy bracers/greaves in the game already, you wont be seeing the droprate as it will look in 2-3 months when all of those are broken. So... as always it's hard to know the exact sweetspot between too rare and too common. I think this is all people are asking for. I don't think every time you kill the death knight you should get the bracers as a pity reward. "No skullplate? It's ok man, here's some bracers." But I think ...

In this, perhaps if we'd go with Rache's suggestion and make GK evil, you'd have to carefully balance it - that hunting ground truly is too excellent and there's no arguing that evil players would suffer on experience somewhat if they lost a fair shot GK. I would say that evils have had an easy time for 30 years. I agree with you, it is easier to kill/grow as an evil player. I think things that are evil should be more evil, like terel trolls.
