Re: Death Penalty Opinions
So, I've worked with some people's suggestions, and have devised a potential scheme for a new death system. This explanation involves some wizardly gibber-jabber about the way the information is stored and handled, but it doesn't have any wiz-info that I feel needs to be kept secret. Rather, it jus...

Re: Removing Limits on High Quality Items
Jhael - I don't disagree with the point regarding other things going on in people's lives. Quite true. though, if I decide I want to play, I want to play, so empty and underpopulated racks won't deter me. I may have to adjust my expectations about what I will be doing. I can't imagine logging in an...

Re: Removing Limits on High Quality Items
I have another idea: Keep the limit. But if limited item is not in use - destroy it. ... Idea is raw because some bots will use these items just to keep them in racks but it can be solved by item must be used for more than 10 minutes in last hour. I definitely see your thought process here, but thi...

Re: Sounds kind of codish....? and next maybe jibberish?
This is made even funnier by the fact that with the changes to the ship lines I couldn't even begin to tell you how to find joinroom.c anymore. Oh, it's easy. Head to dock.c and take boat.c, after you disembark you'll need to wander a bit, but eventually you'll find joinroom.c and you can complete ...

Re: Invisibility and Blocking Rooms
Guilds hoard items because they break too easily. No weapons/armours should break before stuck at scarred by battle/vbs. But instead, you have a sense of urgency to hoard 'in case they break.' I believe that this is one reason why being able to bypass rooms/guards that would normally block is probl...

Re: Invisibility and Blocking Rooms
I've had the same problem with the orc camp in Bree. As a solo player killing the groups of 5 guards to get into the camp is a slow process. One that's arguably as slow as the groups of orcs before the captain. Keep in mind that they stun you and this dramatically slows down the fight. I've often t...

Re: Invisibility and Blocking Rooms
I do not think it should be out of the question for invisible/sneaking/etc players to receive a room tell to the effect of: "You see no way to slip past the <guards> while avoiding detection." And any other ability that could be used to bypass it to be prevented in some thematic way. I gue...

Re: Invisibility and Blocking Rooms
Amorana, did you personally encounter/feel cheated by this? Yes, actually. There have been several occasions where I have been in the area with other individuals attempting to gain this piece of gear only to watch the above described situation occur. Last Armageddon, in fact, it happened to Jhael a...

Re: Invisibility and Blocking Rooms
I have seen NPCs that are 'guarding' something block regardless of invis, non invis, dark, etc. I have also seen situations where an NPC or group of NPCs would only block once they became aware of you. Like a bunch of soldiers playing cards, looking up and seeing an intruder, and then block them fr...

Re: Second, deadly, encounter with Morrison
I understand your reasons, but think of it this way: You want a log because it represents the "true version of events", sort of like a surveillance camera reel, thus removing the chance of lies or filtered information. What you are doing here is trying to remove the in-character situation...
