Quick brainfart here - Does a boss really have to be deadly in order to be viewed as difficult? I mean, in the real world this would certainly be the case, but here? We can discuss size inflation till our heads burst, but killing players in search of equipment regularly screams bad game design to me...

I think a lack of good layman options is a really huge issue. If time and effort is going to be put into guild code, maybe introducing new layman ideas would be a better way to spend our time. I would love to see Nils come up with a poll list of new layman guild ideas that PLAYERS would like to see...

Dudes.. This was an exercise in arguing for something I don't believe in. Some would call it playing devil's advocate. I don't want to close any guilds any more than you do, and for the record: I think Hektor is right.

Guilds in Genesis define a character for life or exist either as a stepping stone towards something greater or just a source...
