Evils don't whine, they point at broken stuff and evilly demand its' repair. Goodies whine even though their guilds make them fart gold.

It is known.

Why is it that the priests and priestesses of Thanar, the center for Kaladian society, are evil (even though it's not enough to shift any alignment)...
But the rest of the city, who all worship the same deity, are overly good-aligned?

That doesn't really add up anywhere...
You are making an assumption here about who worships whom. While the rest of Kalad likely accepts Thanar because he argues for Human rule over Kalad and that is certainly something they want, it doesn't mean they necessarily believe or practice all the tenants. Nor does it automatically make them evil.

From an external perspective, Thanarian priests do some evil things and hold some evil positions. They aren't SUPER evil, but they are evil.

I won't get into a philosophical debate about alignment, but I will say I think people get hung up on it too much. Perhaps alignment should be based on who kills the person and their reasons for it? Maybe a non-human killing a priest isn't a good or evil action? Maybe a human killing a priest who represents an evil deity is a good action, or maybe it's an evil one. Anyways, I've explained why Thanarian priests are evil (because they do things many would consider evil) while citizens are typcally not.

For sure. Just felt it useful to answer the question. Not back on topic :)

Really? You mean in the sea outside Thalassia, or inside the city?

How many are there? Is it enough to consider it a grinding area...?

To be honest, I've seen stacks of up to 20 in one room which is obviously beyond crazy. They are in the bottom or at least lower levels of the sea. They are not in every room, probably move around considering the thicc stacks so maybe they deserve a mention. Idk about size.

The majority of Calia mobs got an all-around update on density, increased areas, size and eq some months ago. Thalassia, Thalassian Sea, Krougs, Satyr, Kretans. This was to bring them up to par with the more popular grinding areas. But its done in levels, much like Gont Tower is.
