[Tarax the Terrible]

As many of you know this site has been ticking away for quite some time now and is still a work in progress. But it does have a good number of users creating very useful content

Since I was last around sharing complete quest walk through docs are now legal it seems! Wow.... But imho blindly going through a walk through you loose out on actually learning anything about the domain. Knowledge which comes in really handy later on. And I have yet to see any list of quests is complete and doesn't have errors or out of date info.

So it is a good time to dedicate some addition efforts to trying to get everything there to a good enough standard that it can compete with cook books.

Is that level of tips and syntax help okay, would you like to see more, less etc?

We will also be trying to add more content to the tips sections etc as this is something newer players could find useful. And old returning players can reference to refresh their memories.

I suggest we try going though each domain one at a time to review what is there already then will post here when its done.

Okie Gont is reviewed and Every Quest there has high quality tips.
There are also some general tips for the area added.

Unfortunately it is a bit hard to easily track who adds the most stuff. But just want to say thanks to Ragni, Elemmiire, Khatharr, Gilgamesh and Zar as their names came up for adding tips to Gont stuff. Elemmiire in particular.
And we all know Ragni has been keeping the site going for years now

If there is anything in Gont we have missed and should be added send me a Pm and i'll get on it.

Added a page on herbs collating some of the recent info from the forums into it.

I am so not a big green fingered search for herbs fan. If anyone wants to put a section on the site collating herbs maps and stuff like that go for it. IMo thats enough herb info to help with questing and i'll get back to focusing on those.

The fact that quest cook books are now legal is a game changer!
I think we now need to be nice and generous with the tips.
The quester should still be involved enough that they learn the area and have to figure out puzzles but if it is so challenging that they get stuck and give up we need to improve the tips...

  It a good opportunity to review the pages before moving them into the sub folder and this will allow us to track how the review is progressing

The crystal torque quest now has a level of tips unheard of before on the site, but designed to compete with walkthroughs.
Also added to the general tips page for Emerald which should hopefully be interesting info for newer players.

Kinda been chilling recently burnt out on the questing with minis to check stuff.
Was looking at mudlet stuff and grinding.

See that the other most popular quest resource has been taken down.

When the pbworks site was created walk through docs were illegal so that was done as a work around to help each other with tips.

A bit curious if given the choice people prefer tips or walk troughs?

I wish I could find my oldest files, but computer deaths etc have caused them to get lost over the years.
Had some that were like the original business cases that the wizards would write when wanting to introduce the quest.

Detailing the theme, the difficulty and justifing the rewards.
Including justifying the bonus experience to be granted to the first person to solve it.
And more bonus exp for the next 5 after that.
