Are there various levels to darkvision? Does it benefit to get an intense darkvision imbue, or is faint good enough for all darkness levels?

Simple answer: As far as I know, a faint imbuement for darkvision is just as good as anything stronger and it doesn't make sense to imbue greater stones. Darkvision is finite and lets you see in any level of darkness.

Habiki is right with one exception in the Krynn racial guild which only shows exits and the outline of other people in low darkness.
