Yup. but only on Wednesdays gametime, which is the same as CET time. Check <date> in the game.

You want to initiate the start? That could be tricky, getting behind the beginning in order to begin it ... too metaphysical for me. But if you want to initiate the quest, go to the Sparkle well and examine the kiosk.

The kiosk is at the same spot as the AH.
"exa kiosk" will give you the info you need.
Then when you have found the item(s) they need, return and "deliver [item]"
"claim reward"

What's the AH? As a Newbie I don't have a grasp on common game acronyms. Could you please give me a list of the most used ones?

AH is Auction House in Sparkle (west of the piers)
CS is Cornerstone in Terel (west of the Town of Last)
RB is Roundabout in Calia (east of the piers, south of Gelan)
HS is Huge Sign in Shire (west of Bree)
AG is (any) Adventurer's Guild where you can learn skills and meditate.

MBP midnight black platemail
AMC ancient mithril chainmail
GK ghastly keep
TT Terel trolls
DPS damage per second
CAID combat aid
OOM out of mana

There are many others, and many I don't know the meaning of. I proposed putting together a glossary of them a while back, and that proposal was totally ignored. Maybe people like to hoard their acronyms and feel like badass insiders that way. Who knows?

I would say that people create them for convenience and because of laziness.
In case of guild names it is just easier to type:
Glads than Gladiators of Athas,
Mercs than Free Mercenary Guild,
Monks than Order of the Dragon.

And then go acronyms:
AA - Army of Angmar
BDA - Blue Dragon Army
EC - Elemental Clerics
EW - Elemental Worshippers
MM - Morgul Mages
OotS - Holy Order of the Stars
RDA - Red Dragon Army
SoHM - Sorcerers of High Magic
WoHM - Wizards of High Magic
