Alliance of Elnoven?

I am probably one of the YOUNGEST as in year joining Genesis, age, and time spent playing to the realm. I came into the game after the Alliance's creation and always knew it existed and accepted it as as essential and taking a breath.

Now that I have some more time under my belt, what is it's bearing? Where do Rangers, Knights, Neidars, and Calians tie together? I can understand how the Knights and Neidars go grouped together, but not the Rangers and Calians thrown into the mixer as well.

Why does the Alliance exist? How does it exist? Should it exist?

I belive the Alliance was created just after or during the first Vampire war.
To stand united against those that threatened the safety of the goodaligned guilds..
