Closing them would imho be terrible. I get you want to fill the other guilds instead, but we have to provide something for those who want to stay out of things. Mercs are great I think.

And when it comes to giving team perks for guilds that can't solo, why did everyone forget about Rangers? We do 0 damage without layman (something I really hope will change in the future, as it is, when being a Ranger, you _have_ to become a blademaster, shieldbearer or militia in order to be able to do anything at all, it closes some interesting layman options for us). Even Calians can do a bit of damage solo without layman slot, Rangers and Archers can't.

If a BDA or AA joined that guild as a goodie, and then switched allegiances the rune of friendship would be revoked and theyd be booted from the guild upon that being taken away.

I dont think AA could be even given a rune. It would disappear right away I believe.
