Rule enforcement

Post by Uther » 29 Aug 2012 22:46

Sorry for semi hi-jacking your thread now Gorboth.

Are we going to follow the rules now ?

Ok... why wasn't that done before then ?
I am pointing at these rules.
I mean herassment, player anonymity, the player gets handslapped and then he breaks the rules again, player anonymity, and other stuff. And gets away with a another warning.
This player got several to leave the game, and are still in the game. And the most important thing for the game are to have players playing, otherwise the game will die.
So why not delete that player and keep several others instead... hmm ... hmm ...

And now we are going to hunt the botters and punish those severely ?
I agree that botters shall be punished no doubt about it. But what I have mentioned above are more sever rules to break
then botting. I agree that no rules should be broken.

I welcome the bot hunting :)

Have a good time out there in the game.

My ability to effectively enforce the rules has been uneven. It has at times been pretty good, at times been pretty bad, and at other times been completely absent. My activity level right now leans me more toward the first of these categories, one will hope.

As with all judgemental things it's also affected by moods and sympathy (or lack of it). O:-)

I work hard to be impartial, but Lt. Commander Data I am not.

Even Lt. Commander Data developed feelings :P

I do understand your position, it is not easy Gorboth.

One, to set an example and the herd will calm down.

Who is more important for Gen - 1 myth creating problems and harassing weaker players, or weaker players who try to find their place in this unstable and unbalanced MUD? That is the question...

What did the myth do?
Might and Glory flaming for changing dawn, ancient power revealed of an iron crown, clear and cold and shining so far and bright, crush the world in one clash of your binding light.

Gû kîbum kelkum-ishi, burzum-ishi. Akha - gûm-ishi ashi gurum!
