Greetings!
For generations, the Cadets of Gelan has taught its members
self-discipline and the ways of a warrior. The Master List
follows this tradition by testing a cadet’s abilities in combat.
Graduates are also welcome because they were also once cadets
and understand the occasional duel with a fellow graduate or
cadet will keep them on their toes.
This is a ongoing tournament which only graduates and cadets
can participate in. Cadets and graduates may only challenge
the current Master holder of the their own mortal level in which
then they will battle it out. The winner of the duel will get the
right to be the Master for their level. For example an apprentice
may only challenge the apprentice Master Holder. The rest of the
rules are stated below.
Listed below from left to right is the Master’s title, the mortal
level, The current master for that level, and the date which the
player became the master of their level.

If you wish to challenge or claim a title this is what you should do:
---------------------------------------------------------------
*IMPORTANT: Do not claim a title unless you know you will be active
enough to receive and take challenges from other cadets and graduates.
*If the spot you wish to claim is free, post a note stating which
title you want to claim.
*If the spot is taken, post a note challenging the current master
for that level, and mail the master of that level.
*Expect up to 30 minutes preparation time. Mail all active cadets
and/or graduates if you want an audience for the duel.
Rules
--------------------
*Each mortal level will have its own duel series. (see above)
*There will be one Master for each mortal level.
*This is strictly an one on one fight.
*Use 'cduel' to start the fight and 'stop' to stop it.
*The duels should be in the Hall of War of the Cadets of Gelan,
unless both fighters agree dueling in a different place.
*Cadet donk is allowed.
*Non-magical guild specials are allowed.
*No magic which gives the combatant any advantage for the duel
is allowed.
*Poison in any way shape or form is not allowed.
*No Darkness or invisibly.
*Weapons and armours with magical capabilities are allowed
(except for weapons or armours that gives off darkness and makes
the wearer/wielder invisible)
Exception: The crystal axe is not allowed in these duels, since
it has dangerous powers that can cause death easily, even with the
recommended wimpy (unless both fighters agree on using it).
*Herbs of any kind (healing, fatigue, etc) are not allowed in the
duel, neither any other kind of healing, unless it's alcohol.
*Potions of any sorts may not be used in the duel.
*The duel will continue until one wimps, or tries to wimp but fails.
*'Wimpy' must be set to in a very bad shape, unless a different
setting is agreed upon by the combatants.
The command to set this is:
options wimpy in a very bad shape
Other Info
-------------
*When a master goes up a mortal level (s)he looses the Master title
which is then free for anyone to claim, and this has to be posted
in the Cadet's board.
*A Master can never turn down a challenge for a duel for anything but
practical reasons such as lack of weapons and/or armor.
*In the event of a tie (when both fighters wimpy at the same time),
the current master keeps his/her title. The challenger may then issue
another challenge if he/she so wishes. But it can be another day.
*There will be additional Master spot for the levels of MoW, MoAd, MoAe
and MoGa. These additional spots are reserved for cadets only. Which
means only cadets may claim and challenge for these spots. These
additional spots will have this mark (c) after them. Cadets can also
claim the master spots without the (c) symbol, but they are at risk
of a graduate being able to challenge them at any time if they are a
master for a regular spot.
NOTE that a cadet may only hold one title at a time. In the event a cadet
manages to get another spot, he/she will relinquish the pervious spot he/she
held.
Inactive Masters
--------------------------
If a Master doesn’t respond to a challenge by a challenger for
a title within 10 days (RL time), then the Master relinquishes his/her
title.
All results worth noticing should be post on the cadet board.
If there are any errors or questions please mail me.
Any comments or suggestions are welcome!
Good luck!
