The Krynn war system had a war room for the knights and each player DA guild, where they could allocate reinforcements of their choosing to areas they controlled, as well as donate coin to the war chest which funded reinforcements.

It was pretty cool, but after a while exhausting for the players - both in time and money. Guild participation dropped off, and it was ultimately changed to self-manage. All you need to do now is clear and conquer. Less engaging, but more reflective of the time and effort players are prepared to commit.

The war system is something I ultimately want to make more rewarding at some point. RIght now it doesn't involve individual reward for participation.

Anyway this is getting off topic. Emraht's idea is good. The challenge will be finding a wizard to code it.

Could be a fun event if everyone was a Myth.

Agreed. Being a smaller player would be no fun in an event like this, seeing as you wouldn't be able to contribute as much and it would be tougher overall to help in any way.

Even if you balance size in the war zone and make it death penalty free there will be nitwits who choose to "win" by killing their opponents outside the war zone.

Are people willing to deal with this? If not, are the wizards going to be willing to police players?

It's a shame you can't downvote a post on here.

Not even myths can attack soldiers except for the ruby champions which are rare (and which are a weak usage in and of themselves since players can attack them).
There are a lot of activities for people of any size. (especially since this is more about strategy than combat)

If you don't feel like this event offers something for a player of your size, are you willing to write up some suggestions? That's what this thread is for.

It doesn't sound like you read the proposed rules. The game is the war zone, and killing players doesn't get you any points towards the event nor does it bypass any of the normal repercussions for killing someone. In fact as I just pointed out, this is more about strategy than killing prowess.

Was on my phone at the chiropractor at the time.

Sure, easy fix would be to introduce the enchanters amulet at a higher level. Set everyone the same.

Anything that involves combat of any kind if everyones not the same there are going to be issues. Normally as Irk somewhat put, some of yall have made that grind you earned it. However this is an event if im not on somewhat of an equal standing for what reason do I have to join in the first place?

This is essentially using a better version of our now Krynn War system and right now I can point out that if I hear Ydreds feet slamming we dont stick around to contest anything. Its would be a slaughter and its pointless.

In a perfect world people would stick to the event but I dont have an ounce of faith in the population to play nice and some asshat would find a reason to as Cherek said, turn this into a gank-fest.

Next you've introduced Guild Warzones and havent defined who can take them. Should Amberlee decide she wants the Knights Guild zone whose going to stop her? PvP in general is frowned upon because even with the recovery system it still takes an assload of time to get back. Not all of us have a big ass Ogre or Neidar to run behind. With the inbalance of levels and guild population i can already tell you without running the event which guilds would win.

So you could introduce the removal of the death penalty but there is nothing that i can think of to even the odds of the population. Again this is merely to propose the question of why would anyone not of Myth size or in a populated guild even care to participate othen then to become punching bag. And should you disable PvP it would be rather impossible to defend a guildhall as I could get a team and take the MM Guild Zone with little resistance.

I cant think of a way without remodeling the event that would make this fun for the entire game. Its hard to code against the human condition as was proven unfortunately in the last event.
