And if people hadn't abused the costumes to such a degree..
That might have happened.
This is how stealing when invisible was doable for years until the SoHM were opened... keep the exploits on the down low...

Once Gorboth is back I am going to petition for the costume shop to be closed outside of Halloween :)

Using exploits instead of reporting them only creates problems in the long run when it's over-abused, and then it just causes a lot of angry players. The invis-thief thing could have fixed ages ago, instead of players keeping it on the down low, and we wouldn't have the problem we're having now. Players are much more prone to report bugs and abuses when they are on the short end of the stick, but they have no problems keeping their own abuses to themselves. Humans, aren't we lovely selfish creatures?:)

Tbh, of people dont report the abuses and shit and they are reknown for using them, they should be punished.

FYI - The costume shop has been closed, as it should have been after the last event it had been opened for.

On an unrelated note the museum is currently advertising for a new curator. Job details outlined in the latest copy of the Sparkle Times.

I do not remember when you could steal worn and wielded items, it must have been very long ago. So if there has been changes, I doubt it's been changed any time recently, unless like Mirandus said, changes have been made without notifications. It definitely did not have anything to do with the Kender recode though.
Freya 'speaks' the truth. It WAS, once upon a time, possible to steal worn and wielded items. I dont remember when it was changed though.

IIRC to achieve that you had to sacrifice TONS of plats to Hiddukel and it was only few times you could do that, then you had to sacrifice plats again.
