Trollshaws

So, trollshaws, I'd like to know why it is kept on zero xp gain but the mobs hurt like quali elves :P

Goodies have a lack of good grinding grounds atm and the shaws have such crazy align that evils are not that inclined to grind there, lower the damage alittle and make the xp worthwile? I kinda feel goodies need more grounds as such where align is batshit so evils stay away and they can actually start getting some size in without beeing disturbed to often.

Shaws would be a perfect place to make into the goodie version of quali XPwise, I remember back when it wasnt nerfed, champ-myth on 2 man there, one focused tank the other focused dps, holy all the time, and then POOF! For some silly reason it got nerfed into the ground, nowadays noone bothers with it. Arman. I'd like to implore you to raise the mentals on the trolls alittle so they are decent xp for goodies and keep the align or hell even make em more evil so people truly stay off their grind, or Finwe since I believe he's the liege? Imma mail him in game about it too, think it was the aob that screwed the are last time tho. As I said, make it into goodie quali.

I fully agree with Draugor. Goodies dont have any grinding place for legend-myth size players where there will not be the competition with the other side. Evil players have quali and ents, place where you will not see knights, calians or even neidars. And mobs on all other areas is close to neutral or only semi evil.
By the way I wonder if it is only matter of align of mobs that you can go from holy to damned in 30 min and you need next 4h to go back to holy?

I'd agree. I did a comparison between the Qualinesti elves and Trollshaw trolls and I think the elves over-reward xp while the trolls under-reward. With the trolls, there had been some changes to one type of troll to improve their xp, however it doesn't look like it was carried across all the types of trolls.

I'll have a talk with Finwe and will see what we can do about introducing some changes.

Considering the pain the damn elves bring I think they are nicely in-line tbh, unless you're huge or have a badass for a tank, its going to hurt... alot

I've tried pointing this out before but sadly all I get for answer is there is no changed planned too trollshaws.
Feels like they mostly ignore the potential of Trollshaws but I guess they are mostly occupied with other "important" stuff.

It would be a very welcome change for any goodie however, imo we need it.

I believe it was the AoB of the timet that made the change, we've got one that is actually reasonable now, so its time to put stuff forth now, I know alot of areas that can be made viable, goblin caves for instance, Edoras could esially be made into a good area, hell helms deep and Isengaard, fill pax tharkas with dragonarmy soldiers etc

Oh yes, the trollshaws. When they opened, they were very good. I remember how they were flooded because it was such a good grinding area. Players were growing quickly there, and became a precursor to the Barrow Downs.

Then the AoB stepped in and said the exp was too much, so they got nerfed, and the area became a ghost town. But don't worry. Arman has approached me, and we're taking steps to fix the area so that it once again becomes a good grinding area.
