Passing down in the Ghastly Keep

Hello,

What's the idea behind INCREASING the number of kills required to go the lower level in GK?

Promoting the non-quitting style? Staying idle on trigs for the night? Those who do it have a significant advantage now.

I personally thought this limit should be lowered. These days if you play at evening (and don't play in the morning to collect kills) you have practically NO chance to go down.

I fully agree with Val. If you are in 2-3 person team you almost dont have chance to go on the second level of GK. I dont understand this decission as well.

and for the tanker like Neidar is almost impossible to collect kills in the team, so maybe wizies prefer solo playing these days? ofc solo take ages to collect sooooo many kills, just insane politics.

What you say to change it a bit and for example count average kills of the whole team? Then it will be easier for new memeber of a team and for tankers in a team and of course for whole team, which dont have to sit upstairs and wait for respawn :)

My first time down there last night. Just as an example, I think I needed 30 kills before I could go down to level 2.

Why does the portcullis in vingaard keep close when someone attacks the gates? Please fix that asap, it makes me unhappy and blocks me out of a very valuable xp area. (/sarcasm)

May I suggest asking a suitable wizard about it? If you haven't already. And if you don't know who to ask, you can always <mail aop>.

As for promoting that players idle forever... that does not sound like a great thing. Nothing new though, a lot of things have promoted idling 24/7, especially many events. For most of those (except the idler-event) I don't think that was the intention, and rather something the coder(s) did not consider. That may be the case here as well? An unwanted side effect? In this case, perhaps a simple timer would work better? So it does not reset when you quit, but it's based on real life time instead? Then there would be no advantage to idling, and no disadvantage to quitting? But continuing to play Genesis would still mean an advantage, which of course is the idea with the second level I and the kill count I believe - to lure players to continue playing instead of doing boring chores iRL, working, or sleeping.:) And things that keep players playing are of course good, things that promote players idling forever, perhaps not as good.
