Urban legends say Krynn racials get ... infravision? ... but I doubt it.
(Also Krynn surnames make the choice almost op)
Infravision, not to be confused with darkvision.
Infravision does nothing for your ability to fight in darkness.
More like just an extra automatic "emote"
Not really an emote. Personally I find it quite useful. It lets you see the exits and short description of dark rooms (not very dark rooms) and how many and of what type of people/npcs are there. I really missed this small quality of life upgrade when I moved away from Palanthas racials.
Time is precious. Waste it wisely.

I have the notion that what you're describing is not a thing or it may just not be so for some of the races.

We're derailing, yey! :)

I wouldn't say useful as most of us kinda know what's where regardless.
Or we bring light.
But I guess it's OK for not being taxed.

A number of the race options of the Krynn racial guild actually do pay tax. While elves and half-elves have a cosmetic infravision that provides no combat benefit, they do pay tax for it. Minotaurs and kender are other races that pay a racial tax for some of their unique racial benefits.

Humans get excellent surnames and buy a drink to the Palanthas officers once in a while?
