It will take some time to achive the free emotes I see as I at the moment have around 85 days to go..

If I ever reach the 100 days I will relax and sit in my rocking chair reading books...

careful about using the free emotes to appear as if you're making more damage. I got in trouble for being misleading.

for example:
''Bromen deftly twists his ruby snake-eyed ring causing a great pain in suffering in the <target>''

Free emotes rock.
So far the highest level of complexity I know is being able to use the |target|.

so examples:
<wemote grins widely, behind his bullish lips you can see jagged sharp teeth.>
<wemote looks appraisingly at |chamdin|, then proclaims "Har! This one is still wet behind the ears.">

But I don't know how to use |target| if the name is unknown eg |second elf| doesn't work and get message "Can't find second."
Is this beyond the ability of the command?

I also have no idea if it is possible to can make emotes start with an 's?
So say I want to emote "Tarax's horns gleam brightly in the sunlight." is there a way to do that?
Currently work around it with things like "Tarax smiles as his horns gleam brightly in the sunlight."

Is it just age, or do you need to do something in addition to it ?

Wemote is from the wise persons club based in solace.
Have to be 100+ days to join.

There are other areas like Sybarus bathhouse where you can use the 'emote' command.
But think wise persons and actors was only way to do it on the move.

If people below 100 days want to use free emotes to add to their roleplay..

I think 100 days is a long time to wait to be trusted with the command.

The problem is that people can use free emotes to bullsh1T other people.
"Tarax hits you in the face causing great damage!
Tarax kills you!"
Quite blatantly abusing free emotes.

More subtle would be to try and shake off someone on your tail.
"Tarax leaves southwest."

I remember people used to use the line wrapping and add spaces to a say command and get a free emote ability for the next line.
Funny sequences of knights shooting dragons out of the sky using longbows etc.

One possible solution to that might be to prepend emotes with something like..

emote attacks you.
:Tarax attacks you.

Or would that be annoying?

There is an emote log, and wizards (and the thespians of the club) check them. I don't think anyone has ever abused an emote. In fact, there are much betters way to fake an action without having it logged (send yourself a message with a "Tarax panics and flees east." with a messenger, then show it full when you are attacked, to make their triggers follow you east, for example).

It would annoy me to see a different output for an emote, because they are used to enhance the roleplaying. If it melds completely with the character it is a well used one.

I remember a few wonderful days a year ago....

Knights lost 3 sets of full gear because we used...

"ask poet Chade/Aimee/Totty asks you: drop all" stack commanded with "get all"

Bye bye gear. Lots of ways to get people off your tail who are using triggers.
