How is it coming along with the guilds?

What are you working on now?
How are your priorities?

Which guilds will be the first to be done, and which ones will come after?
Do you, by now, have a plan for in which order they will be fixed?

It will be nice to know, in case of seconds or guild changes.

Now that is interesting. Global block will be interesting. To differentiate from the ogre and knight block I am guessing it will be weaker than those. We also need more blocking items, it is not possible that the only blocking items have been caltrops and grunts' shit for the last ten years. The only thing I am worried about is that this block is also time based, that would make it pretty powerful.

It says that the higher skill, the better the block.

Which means it will probably be as the knights have, but not at more than sup layman level, or something like that.
I hope it will be so you can first set it, once you have started combat.
I hope that for all blocks, knight or not.
So as not to place an impenetratable wall of people, whereever you wish.

Thanks for asking, Creed. I'll be posting a separate thread in the Land of the Immortals to help give some clarity to this. I'll give a brief summary here though.

- All spells in Genesis guilds are being rewritten to conform to the new magic balance and system. I'm working on creating base generic versions for all spells, whereas other wizards are coding guild specific versions of these base spells.
- Of the current guilds, Morgul Mages, Priests of Takhisis, and Elemental Worshippers (including a new occ and free-join versions of them) will be the next ones to be "released".
- All the rest of the guilds with spells - necromancers, valar, minstrels, archers, rangers, eil-galaith - will get their spells updated afterwards
- Finally, we will deal with the rest of the special guilds - Rangers, SS, DO, SU

As has been referenced before by others, they are being closed. Current players in the guild will have the option of choosing the new occ version of the elemental worshippers, called the Elemental Clerics. Just as Genesis now has a magic academy for youngsters, Genesis will have a classic Cleric guild based on Elemental themes going forward.

I hadn't read that SCoP will be closed, so that's certainly news to me.
But it sounds good that the game will get a neutral caster guild, alot will probably look forward to that. I know I'm interesting in hearing more. :)

Anyways, maybe it's better to lock the posts in the Announcement section, and let the discussion go on in another section?

Done! I've split the topic now and discussion can continue here.
