Time Delay between recovering each item.

Post by Tarax the Terrible » 29 Apr 2010 09:55

Why is there the timed delay between recovering each item?
Is it to stop from overloading the game and lagging everyone when everyone logged in at the same time after arma?

Maybe this timer could be tweaked to milliseconds or zero..
SO you log in and are spammed by the recovery but at least it would be over fast, faster...

If it was actually powerful enough to create serious lag spikes switch it back again?

Hmm... one observation. I have 3251 herbs on me atm. I don't have a lag (which is strange to me  ) but when I want to put all of my herbs in my sash (or take them) I have to wait few secs for that command to execute.
So, there might be a problem of overloading the server.

For a while I carried around many thousands of corpses left overs, trying to collect something from every race.
If I had them all in one container and looked at them I got
"Your Sensitive Mind notices a wrongness in the fabric of space" or whatever that message is.

There were long recovery times but at least you recovered each many items in one go.
