it's their call.
They can do that now anyway. The idea changes nothing except from the fact,
that the skills and specials are availble to anyone and you join the guild
because you want to be part of it not because the skills it offers. I thought
it's quite stright forward.
Besides Valars and Rangers can't heal someone evil aligned. It's completely
different matter with PoT's they heal morguls or vampires. Vampires would herb
a lot and heal themselves as undead with ehrbs, back in time when herbs were
till useful.
So did MM. Really not a big difference for me. You don't have to eat, alcohol
doesn't work for you, but you can still use herbs. There are tons of such
things.
IMHO. Players can police themselves. If they want to pick healer guilds as
undeads, it's up to them. If this is lame... well... it's them being lame isn't
it? It isn't less lame when they are using herbs.
You see? Every potentially negative aspect already exists. Though you get
positives like end of corruption and nepotism.

T.
PS. You can already be an evil minstrel as a Morgul Mage and use heal.
Pps. I can understand you don't like the idea. I'm not sure, if I can see any
arguments supporting your point of view, apart from that some combinations
could be lame. My question is: Is it even a little more lame than some
individuals running all the itme with 'Disgraced' for killing dragons in DO. Or
undeads eating herbs, using healing magic? For me. It isn't, though maybe I
fail to see the difference.
