Perhaps Garren or Shale could use such a ring every storm as well.
We don't have to let such things be out of the hands of those of us who solo...

Yes, we do. This is the sort of elite stuff that should constitute great raid loot. Not just more inflation to the solo grind party.

More appropriately, more elite mobs would be exciting and interesting. Plus, more targets for fun trinkets like this.
