Scavenger Hunt 2015 Results

For this 11th Scavenger Hunt of Genesis, a total of 150 items were
placed on the list for all to find, 100 "normal" items and 50 were
continuously hidden by the AoE team. Out of this, 145 different items
were found by the 55 participating players. All items were confirmed
reachable.
Starla and Daerin took control of the big player category competition
right away and never let go. Battle for positions 3 to 10 was fierce,
though. Egwene remained in 3rd for most of the event but in the end
Vyng and Fairlight managed to close the gap and pass her. The final
top 10 positions were decided within the last hour of the event.
Plukragar made a splendid effort the last couple of days and moved
from an obscure position far from the top to finish 7th.
In the small player category not much happened the first few days
until Dainty made a move and seemed the clear favorite to win, but
that was before Gnareth entered the compeition. Once he did, he
quickly swept past everyone to claim the title. Had he participated
in the big player competition he would have finished 11th. Not bad!
Rewards
=======================================================================
Everybody who participated received general experience for every item
that was submitted. A quest experience bonus will be awarded for every
25 items scavanged.
The top 10 in each individual category, and top 5 in the team
categories will be awarded additional quest and general experience.
The winner in each category and the members of the winning team will
receive a title to last for a year. The top 3 in each category will
receive special Scavenger Hunt-themed imbued item rewards to last for
30 days. The members of the winning team will receive one glittering
imbuement stone of their choice. Some additional rewards will also
be awarded, as mentioned below.
The experience rewards in the big player category will be somewhat
larger than in the small player category due to the much larger
number of participants, making it harder to finish in the top.
IMPORTANT:
ALL players mentioned in this note have rewards to claim at the
AoE office, located one down from the main floor in the Tower of
Realms. Simply go there and type <claim rewards> to get your
rewards. If you don't, you'll miss out on your reward(s), and that's
no fun. This goes for all rewards except Daerin and Starla's
imbuement stones. Those can't be claimed and will be delivered by
the AoE delivery system. In other words, by me.

The rest of the contestants did not reach the minimum 10 items

Mystery Item Competition
------------------------
A golden donut was placed somewhere in the realms, and clues were
posted daily. The first to find it won. It was located in Sparkle,
near the new bandit hideout.

Additional Rewards

If you found the brown tree mushroom you need not feel too proud of
yourself as 35 contestants found it, making it the most common item.
However, the following items were only found by one contenstant:
A gold ring by Plukragar.
A gleaming black flamberge by Fairlight.
They will each receive an additional quest experience reward for this
accomplishment.
For finding 25 items or more, the following players also have a small
bonus quest experience reward to collect:
Arryn (x2), Alyssia, Irk, Enkil, Anjali.
Since Ilrahil created the list of hunted items he participated in
his own competition, as he was unable to participate in the actual
hunt. The terms were that he would receive the same reward as the
winner of the big player category if 5 or more items remained not
found. It was very close, but exactly 5 items remained not found.
So, Ilrahil will receive quest and general experience as well, and
the same set of special items as Daerin got for winning the
individual event, as well as the title: Scavenger Hunt Mastermind.
And finally...

One player attempted to cheat during the event and was swiftly
disqualified. An additional punishment will also be enforced for
this cowardly act.
