Unexpected shutdown

Post by cotillion » 17 Aug 2016 16:04

Code: Select all

We just had a rapid unscheduled armageddon, also known as a crash.
Things appear to be back to normal now. We're looking into the cause.

Sorry for those of you who lost equipment, that always sucks, but to put things into perspective, below are some statistics:

Game Crashes 2016

Pokemon GO: 1,304,756,854.
Genesis: 1.

Now, don't be naughty! ;-)

The most recent of our 4 or 5 requests for donations to fund the future or present needs of the game earned a bit of money which we have spent sparingly and very carefully. Around 2.5 K remain unspent of that money until such time as we determine another pressing need. To call it profit suggests a very different model, which we rejected years ago. We are non-profit, dude ...

Mmmmmm ... pie ...
